Wolske Streamers

A great friend of Virgin Wood Type, David Wolske, revived the classic streamer for us, but with a twist. Historically, streamers have had the letters cut into the wood streamer. David Wolske's twist allows for more creativity. The letterpress printer puts down the streamer first to achieve a background streamer. Now the printer can use his/her own woodtype to overprint on to the streamer. Confused? Don't be. Click on the Specimen link above.

The type-to-streamer ratio is: 6-line type with 8-line streamer; 8-line type with 10-line streamer; and 10-line type with 12-line streamer.
